Carer's Club
Henna offers a Carer’s Club, exclusively for female carers. This project provides carers with a variety of different respite services including breathing and meditation sessions to promote relaxation. This session supports our members to clear their minds and ease their own health concerns, such as depression and anxiety.
Alongside this Henna provides a weekly Social Club for carers where they meet and talk to each other over a cup of tea and take part in activities such as knitting.
Henna partners with many service providers to provide information on assorted topics related to the enormous contribution of carers.
Henna’s Carers Club project is a vital service for many users who have limited access to their local specialist service provisions. The project helps to develop ties between support organisations and carers, leveraging recognising the reach and value of Henna in the community.
“I thought I was alone, so many women left on their own to look after their husbands, now I can talk to someone and receive the correct information in my language.”
